Tripp Lite's Isobar 6 DBS Surge Suppressor has 6 outlets, a 6-ft. cord with a space-saving right-angle plug, diagnostic LEDs and 2,850 joules of energy absorption. Two built-in sets of Type F coax jacks prevent surges from damaging your cable/satellite equipment. Built-in RJ11 jacks prevent surges from damaging your modem/fax/phone equipment. A 6-ft. telephone cord is also included. Exclusive isolated filter banks eliminate interference between connected equipment. Isobars are virtually indestructible with their heavy-duty all-metal housing which won't burn, crack, or melt.

Well built unit. After looking at many options, the Tripp Lite had the best overall design. Have not had any problems with it.
Between the two I get that warm and fuzzy feeling to stay powered up long enough to properly shutdown my system. Here in Fla we're in the crosshairs for lightning strikes and power outages. This isobar is bullet-proof. Added this isobar to my arsenal of protection. Already have a monster APC UPS. It's paid for itself on a couple occasions recently.
As a power distribution center the surge protector works fine. It appears to be a robust device, however, I hope I never have to test its capabilities.
I purchased this because I had a cheap surge protector and lightning made its way through and blew up my network card and router. Would highly recommend to a good friend. Very impressed with the overall design of the device. The Tripplite product I had for my TV protected the TV and is still protecting my tv as well as other electronics.
Very good for protecting all of your/my electronic equipment. Have other ISOBAR Surge Protectors, and I am more than satisfied with the protection they provide.
